This was me 2 years ago. Full of life.
Described as Tigger on RedBull Powered by Duracell.
In les than 3 years of business as a Business Woman's Coach, I'd been on national TV, in most of the UK papers and on the radio talking about issues such as business womens success, mental health, and why there are not enough fabulous business women in our top FTSE companies (we are getting there but far too slowly!)
I was invited to a speech by the Home Secretary. It's very cool when the Home Secretary's office phones you, I can tell you.
I was invited to meetings with the Bank of England twice a year to share the view point of business women.
And went to the Department of Business & Innovation to various think tanks to support the confidence and success of women.
I found a passion for public speaking and spoke for large charitable organsiations, business groups and business women.
With a group of business women I helped £5k in less than 3 months with a nude Calendar and helped a ton of business women overcome their fears, build their confidence, rocket their sales and get the business they truly wanted.
I don't tell you this lot to impress you I tell you this lot because on the 14th January 2011something very horrible happened - I got ill. So ill I was bed ridden. Around 100 or so hospital appointments, armfuls of blood and buckets of fun meds - there is no solution to date. I'm in agony all day every day. Imagine a bad hangover with flu after 10 hours of Christmas shopping and you will have an idea.
In the last 2 years we have lost all of our savings, the Carribbean holidays, the big expansion house plans, the new cars, everything.
I tell you all this, because folks I've never been so happy!
Numerous things over the last 2 years have helped me realise that my coaching style, my passion for success and determination have lead me to keep going, to stay strong and even have a good cry when needed.
I'm going to share with you ideas for staying strong, smiling lots, being internally happy (not that fleeting happiness that you get with new shoes - although don't get me started on gorgeous shoes!) and gaining success no matter what life throws at you - anyone can be chipper, happy and positive when things are going well. This is about when you could really do with a boost to help you keep going and to never lose sight of what really matters to you.
