Pace Yourself Girl....Your About To Hurt Somebody!

"Work that Body, Work that Body.
Slow down girl You're about to hurt somebody."
Sang Will Smith in that Dance floor bopping good 90's song - Okay so I'm showing my age and you probably have your own opinion on that song!
The fact is us women have this habit of overworking.
Of doing "Just one more job."
Of multitasking to the extreme.
I know because I used to be able to send an email while brushing my teeth, sorting a wash and answering my daughters homework question!
But pacing is not just for the ME Sufferer or the Seriously Ill.
Pacing is something we all need to master.
Why?
Better concentration.
Increased creativity.
Better Productivity.
Happier.
Better relationships.
Clearer Mind which equals better quality sleep.
New Ideas.
And most importantly a body that keeps going.

I had to learn the hard way that my body will only take so much. So listen to that body of yours. Tired? Feeling a bit stroppy? In need of a bar of chocolate/coffee/glass, sorry bottle of wine? What is your body really trying to get through to you?

The problem is of course, how do you acutally get on with pacing yourself?
We all know what we should be doing, but the world hasn't got a billion dollar industry of self help for nothing. It's because we don't take action on what we learn and know.
So its this simple......ready?
If you do not "Slow down girl you're about to hurt somebody" and you are agreeing to losing all of the above. That's right;
Better concentration.
Increased creativity.
Better Productivity.
Happier.
Better relationships.
Clearer Mind which equals better quality sleep.
New Ideas.
And most importantly a body that keeps going.
And that will most definitely greatly impact on your happiness and success.

REMEMBER to make change you have to create a big enough motivation to do it. A big enough draw, passion, need to see that this is the only way to get the results in life that propel you to what you want. So pace yourself, your success needs it.
Motivated to do it now?

  1. Super advice! I had an aunt who as a child had suffered from rheumatic fever, which subsequently weakened her heart. Doctor's advice? Two hours bed rest every afternoon - advice she followed faithfully for another 90-odd years! And she could STILL outpace me up Wimbledon Hill!
Trouble is nowadays, chilling out is an absolute necessity but no one makes time for it.
